Pupils at St Paul’s School shared in the fun of reading during workshop hosted by well-known children’s book author Ann Bryant.

Ms Bryant has published some 125 books and is known for her ‘Café Club’ series published in the 1990s and the ‘Ballerina Dreams’ series.

The author was in Gibraltar for the first time in her career to host a book signing and workshop for the children at St Paul’s School.

Ms Bryant enjoyed seeing children interact with her stories and read the children her version of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ with her “twist”.

Known for her emotive writing, Ms Bryant’s story saw the “big bad wolf” as a nice character despite his threatening physic.

“Don’t always think someone is unkind because they look unkind,” Ms Bryant told the children.

She spoke to the children about her books and also included music in her book readings.

The pupils danced along and listened to Ms Bryant play the piano as part of the interactive lesson designed to get children to enjoy reading.

After this the children lined-up to have their picture and a book signed by Ms Bryant.
