Young Gibraltarian forms part of winning team in Durham
In his first year as a Law student at Durham University, Thomas Isola (who last year played football in Gibraltar for Manchester 62 and Gibraltar U.19s), played for Durham University’s 1st XI and for the first time ever in the history of the University the team won the Northern Premier League which is the top football league for University teams. Durham played 9 matches, won 7, drew 1 and lost 1 (against Loughborough). Durham will have number one seeding going into a knock out trophy competition which includes the teams from the Southern League. Having earned top seeding in the Northern Premier League Durham will play out their final league fixture in February away to a strong Loughborough side before playoffs begin.
